Decent spot in Salcedo village for some Japanese food. I really enjoyed my chicken teriyaki bowl, and the sushi was fresh and tasty too. Come and enjoy!

Cons -overpriced. 1 bowl of beef fried rice costs 140+ and that is good for 1 person only. waggyu skewers is almost 400 pesos, and it is just 6 small cubes (almost a size of a dice) of beef on a stick with a not so generous amount of thin slices of cabbage on the side with a small squirt of mayo. -it is hot inside, like we were literally sweating and made our dining experience uncomfortable -no spoon and fork (only chopstick) on the table unless you will request for it. -took them a while to serve our food and give our change as well. -ambiance doesn't give japanese vibes at all Pros -courteous and attentive staffs -service water and tea -foods are freshly made (i think) since our orders were hot when served -baked sushi was good -gyudon was okay

Value for money Japanese food. Sushi was fresh and the tempura was crisp and not heavy with the batter; good sized shrimp too. I failed to take a photo of the maki we ordered having eaten it the moment it was served. Really good and the price was light in the pocket.

New found katsu place finally. Their pork tonkatsu has more flavor depth compared to Yabu's. Karaage is far from salty and oily and yet maintains its flavor. You can also taste the freshness of the ingredients used. Will definitely be back.

Went in for lunch on a weekday. The place was packed and lively. The dishes were priced decently for their quality. I was given service tea when I was ordering and the servers were responsive. I ordered the sashimi bowl since it looked like they specialized in sushi and ramen. My order arrived 20mins later it looked kinda alright. The egg were too stiff and salty and not the sweet tamago you get in sushi. The salmon and crab cake was ok. The tuna was cut haphazardly and I think it was really not that fresh. The shrimp was hard and chewy, not good. Most of the fish roe was slimy and falling apart, it was also too salty and not that sweet. The squid and white fish was also fine. All in all, most of the flavors seeped in to the rice and it was not ideal.

Been here at least 3x and the food never disappoints. Servings are really good value for the price. Love that most dish also has fresh greens and mangoes. Staff were very polite as well regardless how busy they are during dinner hours.
